There's a nice video review of the thing online, if you want to see more. Have any here seen this monitor or played with it? Perhaps tested the connectivity? The display is pretty cheap, at least here in Germany it's around 900 euros, which is really not that much for a premium IPS display.

If they do, I might buy one of these and get 60Hz when I feel an upgrade to my rMBP is necessary.

Theoretically, the display should be able to do 50Hz at full resolution using HDMI or even DP1.1, but there is no information if current macs support such a configuration. I have a Mid 2012 15" rMBP with HDMI/TB connectivity.

The question is - how's the compatibility with Macs? The site says it's compatible with TB2 and the Mac Pro, but I don't have one of those, nor do I want to get one. It can simulate 10 bits of color with dithering, but that's something not supported in OSX anyway. The 21:9 format seems pretty good for productivity and watching movies - and at worst it's similar to a 27" 2560x1440 with some black borders on both sides. The LG 34UM95 sports a whopping 3440x1440 resolution with an IPS panel. Now, there has been a new wave of 4k monitors and 4k-ish monitors like the new LG. My 6 year old 30" HP LP3065 is still pretty much as good as it gets for any reasonable price.
